She is a resident of New York City. Chando went to Manhattan College and became an actor before. Chando was the original Maddie Coleman of the television soap drama As World Turns. She played this role between 2005 and 2007, and again for a few months, in 2009 at the end. Alexandra debuted in 2002 with House Blend as Jenna Harper. As the World Turns on CBS was her first TV performance following three years. Chando was also a part of an actress on a documentary series for television in America, True life, and played in Sherri.
