Molly was born and raised in Pennsylvania. Her first professional life when she was thirteen and was a part of Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. Soon after she played Little Red Ridinghood in the Arden Theater s production of Into the Woods for which she was nominated for a Barrymore Award. She portrayed the same role as Into the Woods in Broadway aged 15 and received the Drama League Award nomination. Molly appeared on Broadway during the 2004 revival of Fiddler on the Roof. She then attended Princeton University where she was part of the Triangle Club and graduated in 2008 with a B.A. In this period when she made her feature film debut in Disney s College Road Trip in the role of Wendy Greenhut. at the time, Wendy Greenhut made her Disney College Road Trip debut. After graduating Molly was in Off-Broadway productions of several plays including End Days at Ensemble Studio Theater and also in TV shows, including Royal Pains and an HBO Pilot The Wonderful Maladys. Molly participated involved in the in the 2008 Barrington Stage Company production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and in the Westport Country Theater's staging of The Diary of Anne Frank in which she played Anne. Molly was a part of several regional productions, such as The Diary of Anne-Frank at Westport Country Playhouse's 2010 production. The play in which she performed the role of the teenage daughter Ali.
